7:30-8:45am *NO class August 4th

Join us for a morning yoga class, aimed at guiding you to move your body in line with your breath.  These classes will help you to develop internal awareness through a combination of Hatha and Ashtanga yoga.

Martin tailors the rhythm and pace of each yoga class based on his attendees, moving with everyone’s needs and abilities.

Sound therapy: Martin is qualified in this discipline and  uses tuning forks to incorporate an aspect of  sound healing into each of the classes.

This then leads to a period of meditation to close the session, where you can enjoy the stillness, before leaving with a sense of well-being, ready to start your day.

Martin is a qualified Hatha and Ashtanga teacher, RYT 200 hours, and has been practising many styles of yoga over the last 10 years.  His teaching is inspired by Patanjali and he follows a philosophy of peaceful and sustainable living.

Sheira-0014Gentle Flow Yoga – Studio 2 and Online

The wonderful Sheira Neumann takes theses lovely morning Gentle Vinyasa Yoga classes each Wednesday. Classes are 60 minutes long which gives plenty of time to stretch out, breathe, tone up and relax at the end. It is an open class for all levels, including beginners and suitable for those with back problems and other injuries.

These classes are inspired by the moving body and will open your body and calm the mind. Her light-hearted approach will leave you feeling rejuvenated and free!

Jay Thompson pilatesPilates ~ Studio 1

Pilates is a fantastic way to help build strength in your core muscles, to improve posture, balance and overall flexibility.  The exercises promote proper posture and correct movement patterns.  I believe in teaching Pilates classes, staying true to the core method of the system with a contemporary twist.
Jay is an engaging, compassionate and dedicated teacher and fitness professional.  He is passionate about wanting to help people become better versions of themselves.  Jay is a qualified Mat & Reformer Pilates instructor, Satria Yoga Instructor (200hrs), Personal Trainer and Nutrition coach.

new mum baby pilatesMum & Baby Pilates ~ Studio 1

10:30-11:30am  *Last class July 28th, class resumes September 2021

Mum and baby Pilates is a mat-based class for mothers and new babies, aged 6 weeks to almost crawling!

The classes will help you recover from nine months of pregnancy and birth. The class will help strengthen you from the inside-out, focusing on abdominal areas as well as the pelvic floor. These classes will also help strengthen your back and stretch and release all tight muscles.

Babies can lie beside you, or sit in a car seat;  whichever suits you and your baby. You are also welcome to feed your baby during the class.

Please note, pushchairs and prams cannot be brought inside The Yard, so please bring a rain cover for parking it outside the centre, in any weather!

Jay Thompson satriaSatria Yoga ~ Studio 1

Taught by Jay Thompson, this superbly rich and dynamic yoga system consists of 144 postures based on an ancient martial art; Satria.  In this class you will learn self-defence whilst building strength, mobility and endurance.
Satria yoga was first inspired by Guru Ma in 1999 who believed it was important for women to learn self-defence in this modern age.  All postures derive from Satria Fighting Arts and can be used for self-defence, but training is without the combative element.
