Our popular Gong Gatherings are led by the wonderful Faze Al and provide us all with an opportunity to begin to turn the spotlight inwards and reflect on our own being. A time to reflect on the challenges and lessons that we have received, how we have grown and the strength that we developed, as well as a time of acceptance, of all the aspects that make up who we are, including shadows and setbacks. Sessions normally last around an hour and no previous experience in meditation is required; you need only lie down and let the beautiful gong vibrations wash over you. The gatherings normally take place on a Tuesday evening on selected dates.
Sometimes we pair Gong Gathering with some rejuvenating yoga, normally at our special Equinox celebrations. The yoga is suitable for all levels (even complete beginners), and is followed by a relaxing, refreshing session with the gong – the combination of yoga and gong is a very powerful one, and a great way to enter the new season. We then reconvene in the second studio at Gracelands for some tea and snacks at the end, and a little bit of traditional-style aural storytelling
As this is a celebration and an opportunity for people to come together on a significant day in the calendar, we run it on a donation basis to cover our costs and to encourage people to come along. We also ask that people bring some offering of food to share with the group at the end – nothing major, just a contribution, savoury or sweet. A perfect opportunity to practice your baking skills!
Our Solstice and Equinox events are very popular and a lot of fun. We will fit as many people in as we possibly can, but places will be limited so it is very important that you book your spot!
