Summer fair, mufti days, lost PE kit, parent evenings, residential trips, spelling assessments, concerts, extra costumes for the summer performance, sports day, shoes that might just survive another two weeks…It must be the end of the school year. With two children at primary school, I always feel a bit overwhelmed during July. Everyone’s tired, everyone’s excited, there’s a lot to be organised. And then there are teacher gifts …
Handmade gifts for teachers are great, but it can be hard to sit your children down for a craft session at home. Luckily we at the Yard can help you! At our Friday Crafternoon after school this Friday, we’ll be making special handmade gifts for teachers.
We always try to strike a balance between activities that a child can feel comfortable with and those that will teach them something new and fun. On Friday we’ll be making three or four lovely personalised gifts, including small canvas gift boxes decorated with your child’s stitching, to whatever level that’s right for them.
If your child will enjoy trying something new, then contact Kirsty and book a place on our Friday Crafternoon. They’ll have a lot of fun, they’ll learn something new alongside friends – and you’ll be able to cross something off your list!
We love having Elaine as part of the team here at The Yard. As well as leading Toddler Art and art and crafternoon sessions at Friday Kids and pre-teens club , she always offers a helping hand at The Yard.
